The proposed site’s existing zoning, M1-2, allows temporary overnight shelters. All such shelters require a special use permit, the issuance of which is subject to a ruling by the Zoning Board of Appeals, a distinct and independent municipal review board, which can be reached at 312-744-3888. The Board will hear the case on March 15th.
